This particular super deformed “chibi” style Godzilla I’ve had my eye on for a while. I came across them when I was in Japan last September, but didn’t pull the trigger on one. 

This time last May, I finally decided to pick one up. As I’ve been slowly collecting the series of small Godzilla finger puppets, I still wanted a large Chibi version of Godzilla, too.

I happened to pick up the Minus One version of Godzilla. Even though I haven’t seen the movie, just by appearance alone, it still ticks a lot of boxes for a Godzilla toy/figure for me.

SCULPTING

This Godzilla figure has really nice sculpting. There’s a lot of detail on this figure, and it really has nice, if super deformed, proportions. So not only is it detailed, but it’s cute too.

PAINT

Nothing too over the top here, just a nice dry brush to bring out all the sculpted details excellently. The paint really makes this figure look great!

ARTICULATION

 As this is a statue, there’s no articulation.

ACCESSORIES

No accessories either with this figure.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS

None that I can see, he’s a great problem-free figure.

PRICE

I paid 3000 JPY for this figure, and I was happy with that. That’s pretty much the standard retail price.

OVERALL

This is a really fun oversized super deformed Chibi Godzilla. If you pick him up, you should get a lot of joy from having him sitting on your display shelf. He’s great and worth picking up.
